Romax Technology, a leading global provider of software and services for design and optimization of gearbox, bearing and driveline systems, signed a global supply agreement with Rolls-Royce plc to help the aircraft engine maker advance its product design and development processes.
Building on Romax’s longstanding relationship with Rolls-Royce, which dates to 1996, the new agreement will provide Rolls-Royce’s facilities in the U.K., Germany and the U.S. with advanced engineering software and consultancy services to help improve design and development processes for both existing and next-generation aircraft engines.
Romax Global VP for Aerospace Younsu Park commented, “At Romax we have a trusted track record when it comes to understanding and developing technologies which can optimize the design process. This is an incredibly exciting time for our aerospace business. We are providing Rolls-Royce with our world-class solutions to enable faster, more accurately and cost-effectively designed aero engines.”
Romax software solutions support and improve the end-to-end engineering design and optimization of gearbox, bearing and driveline systems. Major manufacturers increasingly use the company’s software as the backbone for their entire transmission design and analysis process. Romax says its know-how, coupled with its software suite, offers customers smarter ways to analyze, design and optimize gearboxes, bearings and drivetrains.
